Stripe webhook for legacy API keys
Updated 2 weeks ago
Configure this webhook only if your Gratona workspace uses legacy Stripe API keys. Workspaces connected through Stripe Connect do not need this setup.
Use the webhook endpoint shown in your Gratona payment settings. Do not copy an endpoint from another workspace or environment.
Create the Stripe webhook
Sign in to Stripe and open Workbench > Webhooks.
Choose Create an event destination. Choose Your account and Snapshot payloads. Enable
the following required events. The charge.succeeded event alone is not sufficient. charge.succeeded charge.failed charge.pending charge.updated payment_intent.succeeded payment_intent.processing payment_intent.payment_failed payment_intent.canceled payment_intent.requires_action payment_intent.amount_capturable_updated charge.refunded refund.created refund.updated refund.failed setup_intent.created setup_intent.requires_action setup_intent.succeeded setup_intent.canceled setup_intent.setup_failed mandate.updated payment_method.detached payment_method.automatically_updated payment_method.updated charge.dispute.created charge.dispute.updated charge.dispute.closed charge.dispute.funds_withdrawn charge.dispute.funds_reinstated Continue and choose
Webhook endpoint as the destination type. Continue to the endpoint configuration and paste
the webhook URL shown in your Gratona Stripe payment settings. Use the same live or test environment in both systems.
Create the destination. For the current
Stripe screens, see Stripe's webhook instructions: https://docs.stripe.com/webhooks.
Add the signing secret to Gratona
The signing secret lets Gratona verify that webhook events came from your Stripe account.
Open the webhook destination in Stripe.
Reveal and copy the endpoint's signing secret.
In Gratona, open the Stripe payment settings for the same workspace and environment.
Paste the signing secret into the webhook signing-secret field and save your settings. Select Test webhook in Gratona to check the endpoint, required events, and signing-secret configuration. Use Enable missing events whenever the checker reports missing events, then test again until the required-event checks pass. Finally, complete
a payment in the matching environment and confirm that the gift and status appear correctly in Gratona.
