Communication tools overview
Updated 2 weeks ago
Gratona brings donor outreach, relationship messaging, and operational communication into one workspace.
Choose the tool that matches the audience and purpose. Most organizations use newsletters, email, SMS, print, and automations for general donor stewardship. Conversations is an additional moderated workflow for programs that exchange messages between donors and recipients.
Communication tools
SMS Messaging: Review donor replies, send one-to-one responses, assign conversations, and track status.
Newsletters: Send updates and appeals to selected audiences.
Postal Mail: Create reusable templates, generate donor letters and labels, and export printable files.
System Automations > Auto Email: Send email from configured triggers.
Automations: Build relationship journeys for donors, participants, recipients, and other audiences.
Conversations: Moderate donor-recipient messages for programs that enable relationship messaging.
Choose the right workflow
Use Newsletters for updates and appeals to an audience. Use System Automations > Auto Email for messages sent by configured triggers.
Use SMS Messaging for donor text conversations.
Use Postal Mail for letters, labels, and offline stewardship.
Use Automations when communication is one step in a repeatable journey.
Use Conversations only when administrators need to review messages exchanged between donors and recipients.
